“The vision for the BCM is to be a living testament to the words in 1 Thessalonians 1:5-8. That we set the example on Georgia Tech's campus of what a Christ-led disciple is. With the hope that the Word of the Lord goes forth everywhere. It starts with His people viewing themselves as leaders who are worth imitating. Not because they themselves are worth following, but because they follow the One who is. With this view, we cannot expect those around us to be the things we are not. We need to be imitators of Christ himself for their sake. Selflessness that sets an example for other believers and sees unbelievers come to salvation in Jesus Christ. As the president/prayer leader, I understand that this vision has to start with me investing my heart, soul, and mind into loving God and His ministry. It is only through God-given confidence that I can say, “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)”
